On May 8, 2006, Churchill Vineyards received permission from the federal government to create an experimental Distilled Spirits Plant. CV is currently distilling numerous products grown on Nevada’s high desert farms. We are experimenting with Cantaloupe Brandy, Grappa, Onion Brandy, Corn Whiskey, Pear Brandy, Vodka, and several different types of vanifera grape brandies. After performing a series of special tests, conducting marketing surveys, and receiving final federal and state approval some of our finest distilled spirits will be made available to our valued customers and Taster’s Guild Wine Club members.
CV is currently working with Nevada Farm Bureau to write new NRS laws to govern distillery producers in Nevada. Currently, Churchill Vineyards can not sell distilled spirits until state laws have been created to govern this new industry. We are only permitted to make, taste and experiment with different distilled spirits formulas and recipes.
